1月30日開催　NIC-Japanセミナーシリーズ「タイの高等教育制度・高等教育資格」のご案内

高等教育資格承認情報センター(NIC-Japan)は2019年9月の開設以来、東京規約に基づく国内情報センター（NIC）として、学生や研究者の国際的なモビリティ向上のため、高等教育資格の円滑な承認に資する情報提供を行ってまいりました。
 
その一環として、諸外国の教育制度や外国資格審査の事例など、外国資格承認にまつわる諸テーマについて国内外の有識者よりお話しいただく「NIC-Japanセミナーシリーズ」を2021年度より開催しています。第5弾となる今回は、1月30日（月）にタイの高等教育制度をテーマとして開催いたします。タイのモンクット王工科大学トンブリー校の上級副学長（教学担当）であるBundit Thipakorn氏より、タイの高等教育制度や高等教育資格、大学入試制度についてお話しいただきます。
高等教育機関において外国からの出願の審査業務に携わる方から国際業務に携わる方、外国の教育制度にご関心のある方など、幅広く皆様のご参加をお持ちしております。

第30回教育情報共有会は「大学のキャリア支援を考え直す ～教員・職員双方を知るキャリアコンサルタントの立場から～」というタイトルで、キャリアコンサルタントの碇ともみ氏からお話しいただきます。

碇ともみ氏は大学卒業後、日本航空株式会社に客室乗務員として入社。23年4ヶ月の在職中、国内線・国際線・外資系航空会社共同運送便乗務経験・新人教育グループ・フライトインストラクターを歴任。
退社後、『T’s Tips Company』を設立し、キャリアコンサルタントとして、就職支援やキャリア形成支援を行っております。また、大学院にて学び経営管理修士（MBA）を得て、キャリア教育にも探究を進めています

現在は、都留文科大学キャリアアドバイザー、奈良佐保短期大学・相愛大学の非常勤講師に就き、職員・教員双方の立場から学生と日々接しております。

■Abstract
International students are conceived as essential contributors to the development of their countries of origin after they finished their studies abroad. Political decision-makers of the countries of origin therefore take measures that students will eventually return to their home countries and bring back their gained knowledge and consequently contribute to development back home. However, is a return always the best way to contribute to development in the country of origin or can international graduates contribute equally from abroad or through their high mobility between different countries?
This presentation aims to address this question on the basis of an intensive three years mixed-methods-based investigation in six countries – Germany as country of study and Colombia, Georgia, Ghana, Indonesia and Israel/Palestinian territories as countries of origin. migration and development, and highly skilled migration and demographic change.

General Call for Manuscripts for Scopus, ERIC and NSD indexed international journal, Higher Education Forum, Vol.21

★Manuscript Submission Closed

Higher Education Forum (HEF) is an annual publication of the Research Institute for Higher Education at Hiroshima University in Japan. It aims to publish English articles by leading international scholars in the field of higher education, dealing with significant research topics. Manuscripts sent to Higher Education Forum are expected to contribute insightful research findings and contribute to the creation and distribution of knowledge to a wide international audience. Higher Education Forum welcomes original manuscripts with an empirical, theoretical, methodological or practical background. Manuscripts will be reviewed by referees according to a double-blind review system. The exact number of papers will be detailed and specified by the editors of each volume.

Important points and timelines for authors:

  1. Manuscript submission: A manuscript, as both a Word file and PDF, should be submitted to ishida8@hiroshima-u.ac.jp by May 31st, 2023. Manuscripts should include the author’s name, affiliation, job title and email address. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author after receiving your manuscript on our end.
  2. Guidelines for submitted manuscripts: Manuscripts should be proofread by a native or near native English speaker before submission. For detailed guidelines for authors, please refer to “Author’s Guide for RIHE Higher Education Forum”.
  3. Early closure of submission period: The editorial team may stop accepting manuscript submission before the deadline if a sufficient number of quality manuscripts has been received.
  4. Desk review: The editors of Higher Education Forum will inform corresponding authors of the result of desk review if the submitted manuscript is not appropriate to be sent out for peer review.
  5. Peer Review: Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two referees based on the following criteria: relevance of the topic, coherence and clarity, contribution to knowledge, language, and so on. The editors will inform the corresponding author of the result of peer review by September 30th, 2023.
  6. Revision: Authors whose manuscripts were considered for publication are expected to revise and improve their manuscripts based on comments and suggestions from peer reviewers. The revised version of manuscripts should be submitted to the editorial team by November 30th, 2023.
  7. Final decision: A final decision will be made by December 31st, 2023.
  8. Publication: Accepted manuscripts will be published in Higher Education Forum in March 2024, and uploaded onto several websites such as Hiroshima University Institutional Repository (HiR) and RIHE Institute Library website.

The recordings of NIAD-QE University Quality Assurance Forum 2022 is available online

The National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE) held its annual forum, the University Quality Assurance Forum 2022, under the theme of “Connecting inside and outside of university: Toward further integration of learning styles” in an online format on September 28, 2022, and nearly 400 participants joined from across Japan and beyond.

The role of the higher education sector in promoting lifelong learning is becoming more significant in Japan and worldwide, and the higher education community has begun to take initiatives in recognizing and incorporating students’ work experience, prior learning, and microcredentials acquired on and off campus.

Distinguished experts from Japan and abroad shared their insights on the articulation and continuation of learning inside and outside of universities, and discussed the future of higher education and its quality assurance.
