Satisfaction, and Japan?ASEAN Cooperation

概要：
本セミナーは、日本と東南アジア間における国際的な教育移動が、労働市場への統合、キャリア満足度、ならびに長期的な地域協力にいかなる影響を及ぼしているのかを検討する。
とりわけ、日本の教育機関を修了したインドネシア人およびベトナム人卒業生に焦点を当て、経済水準が近い国々であるにもかかわらず、日本における就職状況や定着の度合いが大きく異なるのはなぜか、という政策的に重要な問いに取り組む。
本研究は混合研究法を用い、教育経路、日本語能力、大学や関連機関による支援が、卒業生のキャリア満足度や職業的帰属意識とどのように結びついているのかを明らかにする。
個人のキャリア経験を教育政策・労働政策と接続することで、高等教育が日本の労働力を支える人材供給のパイプラインとして機能するだけでなく、日本とASEANの間の関係における人間中心のソフトパワーおよび戦略的協力の仕組みとしても重要な役割を果たしていることを示す。
This seminar examines how international education mobility between
Japan and Southeast Asia shapes labor-market integration, career
satisfaction, and long-term regional cooperation.
Focusing on Indonesian and Vietnamese graduates of Japanese
institutions, the study addresses a key policy puzzle: why do
countries with similar economic levels show markedly different
post-study employment and retention outcomes in Japan?
Using mixed methods, the research connects education pathways,
Japanese-language proficiency, and institutional support to graduates’
career satisfaction and sense of professional belonging.
By linking individual career experiences to education and labor
policies, the seminar highlights how higher education functions not
only as a talent pipeline for Japan’s workforce, but also as a
human-centered mechanism of soft power and strategic cooperation in
Japan?ASEAN relations.
